Some stakeholders made the emphasis while speaking on this year’s international widow’s day lamented over the insecurity, suffering, poverty, and injustice faced by widows.
They added that the covid-19 pandemic has been particularly devastating for many women who have lost their partners and are struggling to take care of children and even elderly parents.
