President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the formation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
He also authorized the nomination of Senator Ifeanyi Ararume as Chairman of the NNPC Limited Board and Management, while Mele Kyari, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s Group Managing Director, has been named Chief Executive Officer.
Femi Adesina, President’s special adviser on media and publicity, in a statement said the President acted in compliance with the petroleum industry act 2021.
