THE NIGERIAN CONTENT DEVELOPMENT AND MONITORING BOARD REPORTED THAT IT TRAINED A SECTION OF WOMEN, BUSINESS LEADERS, AND ENTREPRENEURS ON ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF WOMEN IN OIL AND GAS. ANGELA OKORO, MANAGER, HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CAPACITY BUILDING DIVISION OF THE BOARD, REMARKED THAT THE TRAINING, WHICH TOOK PLACE IN PORT HARCOURT WITH OVER 70 PARTICIPANTS IN ATTENDANCE IN COLLABORATION WITH THE BOARD AND EMPRETEC FOUNDATION WAS AIMED AT AT ADDRESSING THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS BY EMPOWERING THEM WITH RELEVANT SKILLS AND TOOLS TO SET UP, MANAGE AND SUCCESSFULLY RUN A BUSINESS NOTING THAT THE TRAINING ALSO CAME AT A TIME WHEN THE DIVERSITY SECTORAL WORKING GROUP OF THE NCCF, HAS GIVEN WOMEN A RIGHT OF PLACE IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE FAMILY UNIT AND THE SOCIETY AT LARGE.
